Lucia Costilla

Lucia Yolanda Costilla of Uvalde passed away on January 9, 2021 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 70. She was born on July 23, 1950 in Allende, Mexico to San Felipe Jesus Ramon and Gerarda Munoz.

She married Juan Tobias Costilla in Uvalde on March 8, 1971.

She is survived by her sons, Juan Pablo Costilla and Sergio Luis Ramon both of Uvalde; sisters, Rosa Nely Ramon, Rosa Estella Torres both of Racine, Wisconsin, and Alma Norma Hernandez of San Antonio; brothers, Felipe Angel Ramon, Sr., Alfredo R. Ramon, Sr. both of Uvalde and Reynaldo Ramiro of Ft. Hood; grandchildren, Debbie Costilla and Brenda Costilla; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Jesus Cruz Ramon and Hector Baldemar Ramon, Sr.

Visitation will begin on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gilberto Rodriguez-Galvan, Miguel Angel Lopez, Simon Prado Jr., Michael Prado, Hector Ramon Jr., Jeorge Esquivel, Alfredo Ramon Jr. and Felipe Ramon.
