alignjustifyMr. Lorenzo Martinez Lara, Sr. of Uvalde passed away February 5, 2007 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 69. He was born August 10, 1937 in Knippa, Tx. to Pantaleon Adelina Lara.

alignjustifyHe is survived by his wife, Carolina Lara of Uvalde; four Daughters, Ana Maria Benavidez husband, Arnulfo of Rocksprings; Leticia Lara Gonzalez; Lucy Lee Lara Lou Ella Lara husband, Arturo Hernandez, all of Uvalde; one son, Lorenzo Lara Rodriguez wife, Maria Irene of Uvalde; five sisters, Amelia Lara Eva Ostershaney of Chicago, Ill.; Tomasa Padilla of Kerrville, Tx.; Elena Tarango of Parington, Tx.; Carmen Harris of Knippa, Tx.; four brothers, Luis Lara of Saginaw, Mich.; Oscar Lara of Kerrville, Tx.; Juan Lara of Elgin, Ill.; Hector Lara of Knippa, Tx.; sixteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Lorenzo Lara, Jr.

alignjustifyPallbearers will be Lorenzo L. Rodriguez; Alejandro Benavidez; Albert Elizondo; Albino Benavidez; Anthony Benavidez; Rupert Pena; Hector Lara Tony Lara.

alignjustifyA rosary will be held on Tuesday Wednesday at 7:00 pm.

alignjustifyServices will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 3:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
