Lois Torres

Lois Hernandez Torres of Uvalde passed away on February 7, 2023 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 67.

She was born on June 21, 1955 in Uvalde, Texas to Juanita (Perez) and Lazaro E. Hernandez.

She is survived by the sons, Daniel Ignacio Arredondo and wife Precious, Moses Torres, Jr. and wife, Jasmine, and Eli Torres all of Uvalde; sisters, Christina Morales of Parker, Arizona, Juanita “Janie” Rodriguez of Pocatello, Idaho, Concepcion “Connie” Brossand of Beaumont, Candelaria “Candy” Escorza of Parker, Arizona; and Frances Hernandez of Dallas; companion of 8 years, Andrez Alvarado of Uvalde; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rosa Martinez; brother, Porfirio Hernandez and granddaughter, Eliahna Torres.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Moses F Torres, lll, Eli Torres Jr, Dylan Rodríguez, Felix Montes, Jimmy ”Sonny” Olivarez, and Joe Gamez Medina, III.
