Lois Knox

Lois Idella Knox of Uvalde passed away October 3, 2007 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 92.

She was born November 20, 1914 in Knippa, Tx. to James Nora Bailey.

She is survived by grandchildren, Jimmy Kathy Knox; Dwayne Karen Knox; Kimberley Jerome La Roque; Stephen Stephanie Knox; Nicholas Rosemary Knox; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, Ann Ham Reagan; Lola Hill; Cecile Wendling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Melvin Knox; son, James Oscar Knox half brother, Sterlon Price Bailey.

Mrs. Knox retired after 30 years of service at First State Bank. She then went back and worked 7 more years, and retired again. She died with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Ted McElroy will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Michael Ham; Greg Visel; Lynn Neely; W.C. Reagan; Bob Wendling; Walter Huegele. Honorary pallbearers are the employees of First State Bank.

Arrangements are by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
