Lidia Sotelo

Lidia Sotelo, 77, of Uvalde passed away on September 3, 2026, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital.

She was born on February 25, 1949, in Uvalde to Celia (Fuentes) and Clemente Sotelo.

She is survived by two sons, Rodrigo Rodriguez and Benito Rodriguez, both of Uvalde; sister, Margarita Colon of Uvalde; two brothers, Clemente Sotelo Jr., and wife, Marta and Rojelio Sotelo all of Uvalde; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2026, at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
