Juanita Rosita Gomez Rios

Juanita Rosita Gomez Rios, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on August 30, 1957.

Juanita was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Feliciano Rios, who survives her. She was a caring and proud mother to her two children: Silvestre Rios and spouse Robert Andrew Solis, and Feliciano Rios Jr. and spouse Denise Delgado.

She was a cherished grandmother to Kasiah Hernandez, Richard Hernandez Jr., Calixtro Alejandro Ybarra, Felicha Dawn Rios, and Eriana Rivers Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandchildren Erica Germaine Hernandez and Krystal Rarlee Hernandez, whom she carried forever in her heart.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Adelfina Arreola Rios and her stepfather Casemiro Rios, as well as her biological father, Jesus Gomez.

She is survived by her loving sisters Rosario Torres, Norma Jean Rios, Martha Luna, Maria Inez Jarmillo, Veronica R. Valdez, and Diana Rios; and her brothers Richard Rios, Casimiro Rios Jr., and Rudy Rios. She is also survived by her sisters from her biological father’s side, Maria Ignacia Silva and Salvador Sanchez Silva, Enedina Gomez, and Susie Gomez. She was preceded in death by her sister Patsy Gomez Zavala.

Juanita also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever remember her kindness, strength, and loving spirit.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the family she loved so dearly.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 12 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Batesville, Texas. Interment will follow at Batesville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kasiah Hernandez, Richard Hernandez, Jr., Aaron Garza, Jason Torres, Jonathan Ramos, Jimmy Chapoy, William Cassin, and Feliciano Rios, Jr..
