Juana Ramos

Juanita V. Ramos of La Pryor, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 72.

Juanita was born on February 8, 1950 in Cloete, Coahuila, Mexico to Meliton and Amelia(Muniz) Valenzuela.

She married Esteban Ramos on March 2, 1968 in Agujita, Coahuila, Mexico.

Juanita is survived by her husband of 53 years; seven daughters, Maria Josefina Castro and husband Julio of Uvalde, Rosa Amelia Chapa and husband Alejandro of Crystal City, Flora Hernandez and husband Arnold Jr., Olivia Ramos, Julia P. Ramos and companion Jesus Hernandez, Juanita I. Ramos and companion Israel Bermea and Angela I. Ramos and companion Kelsey R. Horrigan all of La Pryor; two sons, Esteban Ramos Jr. and wife Selina and Jesus Alfredo Ramos and companion Pauline Castillo of La Pryor; two sister, Maria De Los Angeles Castro and Berta Hernandez of Agujita, Coahuila, Mexico; two brothers, Juan Valenzuela of Agujita, Coahuila, Mexico and Javier Valenzuela of North Carolina; 20 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by parents and sister, Juanita Muniz Valenzuela.

Visitation will start on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 2:00 pm. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on February 27, 2022 at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Pryor. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery in La Pryor.

Pallbearers will be Alejandro Chapa III, Paul Anthony Castillon, Marco Duran Castillon, Steven Seth Ramos, Jared Ray Castillo and Mark Anthony Sanchez.
