Joyce Faye Herndon

Joyce Faye Herndon, 81, of Hondo, Texas passed away on November 18, 2025, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery.

She was born on November 19, 1943, in Leakey, Texas to Lorene (Haby) and Jim Cravey.

Joyce married Jim Herndon on July 10, 1965, in Leakey, Texas.  

She is survived by her son, Bryan Herndon and wife, Marcy of D’Hanis; two sisters, Shirley Greenwalt of Castroville and Margaret Davis of Uvalde; brother, Doug Cravey and wife, Judy of Leakey; two grandchildren, Trace Herndon and Brady Herndon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Herndon; parents; two sisters, Jackie Baker and Jamie Harris; and brother, Bud Cravey.

Pallbearers will be Ron Baker, Don Baker, Mike Baker, Wayne Montgomery, Dana Manoushagian, and Donna Schuster.
