Jose Sanchez

Mr. Jose Cardenas Sanchez of Uvalde passed away June 13, 2007 in Wilford Hall Hospital in San Antonio, Tx. at the age of 73.

He was born September 8, 1933 in Crystal City, Tx. to Ernestina Eliseo Sanchez, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Estella T. Sanchez of Uvalde; daughters, Liza Garza husband, Carlos of McAllen, Tx.; Graciela Freitag husband, Kenneth of Uvalde; Cristela Reyes; Angie Reyna husband, Freddy; Laura Organ husband, John all of San Angelo, Tx.; Andrea Dalia Barrera of Victoria, Tx.; sons, Ervey T. Sanchez wife, Julie Ovalle Joe Sanchez, all of Uvalde, Tx.; Robert Serna of San Angelo; sister, Belia Hernandez husband, Gabino of Eagle Pass, Tx.; brother, Alejo Sanchez wife, Adelina of Uvalde, Tx.; 14 grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Sanchez one brother, Eliseo Sanchez, Jr.

A rosary will be held at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel in Uvalde on Thursday Friday at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with Fr. Wieslaw Iwaniec officiating.

Arrangements are by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
