Jose Luis Reyes of Sabinal passed away on August 1, 2019 at the age of 64 at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. He was born on January 26, 1955 in Sabinal to Remijio and Eulalia (Contreras) Reyes.
He loved to go fishing, watch the Dallas Cowboys and the Sabinal yellow jackets play, wrestling and was a very hardworking man.
He is survived by his mother of Sabinal; daughters, Veronica Reyes and companion, Leonardo Borrero Santana of Sabinal, Natalia Reyes and companion, Alonzo Esquivel of Sabinal; son, Rafael Reyes and fiancé, Mayra Morales of Sabinal; sister, Beatrice Miller of Missouri; brothers, Roberto Reyes of Sabinal, Felix Reyes of Sabinal, Jesus Reyes of Sabinal, Remijio Reyes Jr. of Uvalde, Enrique Reyes of Sabinal, Ricardo Reyes of Sabinal; 6 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Angel Reyes.
A rosary will be held on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sabinal following interment at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Sabinal.
Pallbearers will be Roberto Reyes, Felix Reyes, Jesus Reyes, Remijio Reyes, Jr. Enrique Reyes Ricardo Reyes and Leonardo Borrero Santana.
