Johnny Garcia

Johnny Garcia, 74, of Uvalde, Texas passed away on July 27, 2025, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital.

He was born on August 6, 1950, in Michigan to Guadalupe (Casteneda) and Manuel Garcia.

He married Elva Gonzalez on May 19, 1973 in Uvalde, Texas 

Visitation will be held on July 31, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

He is survived by three daughters, Diana Flores and husband, Alberto, Cynthina Flores and husband, Jesse and Linda Charles all of Uvalde; sons, Johnny Garcia, Jr. of Uvalde; two brothers, Martin Garcia of Lubbock and Carlos Garcia of Crystal City; nine grandchildren, Desiree Charles, Albert Flores, Jr., Megan Flores, Anthony Garcia, Alex Flores, Clarissa Flores, Joshlyn Garcia, Brian Flores, and Amado Garcia, III; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by is parents; wife, Elva Garcia; brother, Manuel Garcia and sister, Leonor Garcia.
