John Buchanan

John Stauss Buchanan passed away on December 22, 2007 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 90. He was born on February 15, 1917 in Dallas, Texas to William and Lydia Buchanan. He was married to Mary Tom Neal on September 26, 1945 in Concan, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 62 years; daughters, Mary Anna Roosa and husband, Rodger; Helen Burgin and husband, Larry all of Concan, Texas; Susan Stone and husband, B.J. of Uvalde, Texas; son, John Thomas Buchanan and wife, Noreen of Uvalde, Texas; sister, Anna Miller of Austin, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Fred Buchanan; and sister, Dulce Bohn. Funeral service will be held on December 26, 2007 at 1:00 PM at St. Philp's Episcopal Church with burial to follow in the Concan Cemetery. Rev. Michael Marsh will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chase Roosa; Shane Burgin; Brandon Stone; Joe Bennett; Brian Graves; and Larry Burgin.
