Jimmy Trevino Muñoz

Jimmy Trevino Muñoz, 74, of Uvalde passed away on April 19, 2026, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital.

He was born on November 28, 1951, in Sandusky, Ohio to Nicolasa (Trevino) and Raul Muñoz.

He married Mary Cruz on April 16, 1976, in Uvalde, Texas.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Muñoz, of Uvalde; four daughters, Eve Muñoz, Roxanne Garcia and husband, Reynaldo; Elvira Manry and husband, Martin B. and Maria N. Muñoz and husband, Jesus Flores all of Uvalde; son, Jimmy Joe Muñoz of Uvalde; five sisters, Rosa Dominguez, America Muñoz, Nicolasa Cruz, Ruby Donias, and Linda De Hoyos all of San Antonio; two brothers, Larry T. Muñoz of Uvalde, and Rudy Muñoz of San Antonio; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Raul T. Muñoz, Robert T. Muñoz, and San Juan T. Muñoz; and sister, Manuela Muñoz.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Raul Muñoz, Rey Garcia, Martin Manry, Adam Martinez, Joe Wes Ramos, Art Gomez, and Adolfo Cruz.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Morales, Jimmy Joe Muñoz, Larry T. Muñoz, Dylan Martinez, Johnny Rodriguez, and Ricardo Gonzales.
