Jesus S. Torres

Jesus S. “Chuy” Torres, 62, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Sabinal, Texas passed away on July 27, 2025, at his residence.

He was born on December 16, 1962, in Uvalde, Texas to Evangelina (Saiz) and Francisco D. Torrez.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, Aug. 4, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sabinal Cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, Eva Torres of Sabinal; four sisters, Maria S. Torres and husband, Ruben Reyes of Sabinal, Teresa Torres Riggs and husband, James of Fountain, Colorado, Rachel Gonzales and husband, Juan and Rita Mata and husband, David all of Uvalde; four brothers, Jose Francisco Torres of Sabinal, Arnulfo S. Torres and wife, Teresa of Uvalde, Arturo S. Torres and wife, Jean Marie of Floresville and Robert Torres and wife, Janell of Quincy Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Francisco Torrez; and sisters,  Josefa S. Torres, Rosa Galvan, and Rafaela Diaz; and brother, Roy Torres.

Pallbearers will be AJ Torres, Michael Torres, Marcel Torres, AB Torres, Jo Anthony Riggs, and Aiden T. Pollard.

Honorary pallbearers will be  Ethan Ruiz , Armando Torres , Ryan Creech and Armarcos Torres .
