Jeronimo Ortega

Jeronimo "Jerry" Ortega of Uvalde passed away in San Antonio on August 22, 2018 at the age of 76. He was born on September 30, 1941 in D'Hanis, Texas to Reyes and Maria (Lopez) Ortega.
He married Alice Vega in Uvalde on June 8, 1968.
He is survived by his wife of Uvalde; brother, Frank Ortega and wife, Delia of Uvalde; special niece, Sandra Parra; special great niece, Gabriela Parra and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and niece Brenda Ortega.
A rosary will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
