Jean Frost

Our dad, granddad, friend, and husband J.D. Frost passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at his home on the Frio Ceilo ranch. He was born April 30, 1921 in El Reno, Oklahoma.

JD was a career military officer serving 24 years that spanned WWII and the Korean War. After retiring as a Major in the USAF in 1963, he embarked on a second career that he loved as a school teacher in Weslaco, TX and Laredo, TX.

JD was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Dr I.N. Frost and grandson Mike Frost, JR. He is survived by the love of his life for 64 years, wife Anna Frost; children Annita Jake Meyers of Houston and Mike Terri Frost of Austin; brother, Carol A. Frost wife, Peggy of Laredo; 9 grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews.

JD Frost was a long time member of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus in San Antonio and Uvalde.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Isaac Sosa and all of the nurses, aides and staff of at the Uvalde Memorial Hospital, Amistad Nursing Home and Hospice of Uvalde.

Services will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Uvalde on Monday, October 22, 2007. Rosary will be at 9AM, Mass will be at 10AM, reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX at 2:15PM on Tuesday, October 23, 2007.

Arrangements are by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
