Guadalupe Moreno

Guadalupe Gurrola Moreno, 92, of Uvalde, Texas passed away on March 30, 2026, at Uvalde Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

She was born on August 26, 1933, in Peñon Blanco Durango, Mexico to Agustina (de Santiago) and Primitivo Gurrola.

She is survived by three daughters, Nora Moreno, Norma Garcia, and husband, Tony, and Mary Gonzales and husband, Joe all of Uvalde; four sons, Rafael Moreno, Jr. and wife, Juanita of Bandera, Eliazar Moreno of Uvalde, Mario Moreno and Jesus Moreno both of San Antonio; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rafael Moreno; grandson, Eliazar Moreno; and son, Ricky Moreno.

Pallbearers will be DJ Valenzuela, Kevin Garcia, Javi Esparza, Ricky Gonzales, Zachary Moreno, and Matthew Moreno.
