Gloria Rodriguez

Gloria C. Rodriguez, 88, of Uvalde, Texas passed away on May 4, 2026, at her residence.

She was born on March 30, 1938, in Del Rio, Texas to Maria Guerrero and Seberino Cruz.

She married Guadalupe Rodriguez on December 29, 1962, in Spofford, Texas.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years of Uvalde; daughter, Dora Zamora and husband, Lalo of Uvalde; three grandsons, Steve Austin Sandoval, John Anthony Zamora and wife, Liz, and Mark Andrew Zamora and wife, Raelyn; nine great grandsons, John Anthony Zamora, Jr., Mark Andrew Zamora, Jr., Ryan Aiden Zamora, Harley Austin Sandoval, Michael Ace Zamora, Matthew Adam Zamora, Xavier Jakob Sandoval, Jaden Isiah Sandoval, and Maverick Axel Ray Zamora; She also helped raise niece, Marina Jaso, and nephew, Manuel Peña. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews

She is preceded in death by her parents; great grandson, Steven Harley Sandoval; four brothers; three sisters; and mother-in-law, Manuela Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on May 12, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Zamora, Lalo Zamora, Mark Zamora, John Anthony Zamora, Jr., Mark Andrew Zamora Jr., and Ryan Aiden Zamora.

Honorary pallbearers will be Manuel Peña, Joe Cruz, Jr., Michael Ace Zamora, Matthew Adam Zamora, and Maverick Axel Ray Zamora.
