Gilberto T. Silva of Sabinal passed away on March 21, 2012 at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 55. He was born on June 25, 1956 in Uvalde to Ernesto and Evelyn Torres Silva Sr. He is survived by his sisters, Rosario Velasco of San Antonio and Angela Sanchez and husband Ervey of Uvalde brothers, Ernesto Silva and wife Carrie of Sabinal, Ruben Silva and wife Molly of Hondo and Ricardo Silva of Dilley. He was preceded in death by his parents. A rosary will be held on Thursday March 22, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel in Sabinal. Funeral mass will be held on Friday March 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Patricks Catholic Church in Sabinal. Cremation will follow under the direction of RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary.
