Geronimo Hidalgo

Geronimo “Jerry” Y. Hidalgo, Jr. Uvalde, Texas passed away on November 10, 2025, at Stone Oak Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

He was born on May 1, 1942, in Lemore, California to (mother’s name) and Geronimo Hidalgo Sr.

He married Mary Elva Rodriguez on December 30, 1965, in Uvalde, Texas.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years of Uvalde; daughter, Jacqueline Wasson and husband, Timothy of Montgomery, TX; two sons, David Hidalgo and wife, Jolene and Dennis Hidalgo and wife, Carol all of San Antonio; seven grandchildren, Trevor Balusek, Tyler Patterson, Tanner Whipple, Mikaela Hoffman, Miranda Hidalgo, Dylan Hidalgo, and Ashley Hidalgo; two great grandchildren, Samuel Patterson and Kollins Hoffmann; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Hidalgo.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  

Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
