Franklin Matlock

Franklin Dean Matlock of Trinity, Texas passed away on May 1, 2023, at his residence at the age of 80.

He was born on September 13, 1942, in Humphreys County, Tennessee to Dorothy (Morrison) and Boyd Matlock.

He married Martha "Dale" Bowen in Eagle Lake, TX in 1979.

He is survived by two daughters, Sheila Irwin and husband, Randy of Brazoria and Teresa Sterling of Thompson Station, Tennessee; son, Franklin “Woody” Matlock of Trinity; sister, Margaret Sincher of La Porte; brother, Ricky Baker of La Porte; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; two daughters, Melissa Matlock and Zhanell Burch; brother, Paul Matlock and sister, Melinda Ladd.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Reagan Wells Baptist Church.

Interment will follow at Heard Cemetery in Reagan Wells.
