Francisco Xavier Espinoza

Uvalde

Francisco Xavier Espinoza, 87, of Uvalde, Texas, passed away on June 25, 2025, at Northeast Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on September 6, 1937, in Piedras Negras, Mexico to Bertha (Delgado) and Francisco Espinoza. Francisco carved out a life defined by selflessness, hard work, and an infectious sense of humor that could warm the coldest of days.

His career was a testament to his unwavering dedication, with many years spent at HEB and Super S Foods, where he exemplified the ethos of hard work and community service. In his later years, he brought his jovial spirit to the 5 Points Convenience store, where he greeted every customer as a friend, a testament to his belief that no stranger ever truly existed. To those fortunate enough to know him, he was a jokester, a fighter, and a man whose laughter resonated like a gentle melody, echoing through the halls of so many hearts.

Francisco’s greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren. To them, he was not merely a grandfather but an intelligent and wise confidant, a strong-wielding protector, and an unwavering source of love and kindness. He was attentive to their dreams, and in his embrace, they found a sanctuary, a place where every shared laughter and whispered secret would be cherished forever. His grandchildren will remember him as an exceptional man—one who was steadfastly committed to their happiness and well-being amidst the relentless march of time.

In addition to his dedication to family and work, Francisco had a passion for sports, finding excitement in betting on games, where the thrill of the competition mirrored his spirited approach to life. His love for the game was yet another thread in the rich tapestry of his character, showcasing a man who lived fully and embraced the highs and lows with equal measure.

Francisco Xavier Espinoza will be deeply missed, not just by his family, but by all who crossed paths with him. His spirit remains alive in the laughter shared, the lessons imparted, and the love given. As we remember Francisco, we find solace in the beautiful memories he leaves behind, knowing he has touched our lives in ways that words alone cannot capture. Thus, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with warmth, joy, and an enduring commitment to those he loved.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalinda Aguado Espinoza of Uvalde; two daughters, Diana L. Robuck and husband, Lance of Austin and Lizette Vigil of Uvalde; two sons, Francisco X. Espinoza IV of Kerrville and Sergio Espinoza and wife, Beatrice of Carlsbad, CA; sister Hilda M. Espinoza of Piedras Negras, Mexico, one brother Enrique Espinoza and wife, Lourdes, of Piedras Negras, Mexico and numerous grandchildren, great-grand children, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bertha (Delgado) Espinoza and Francisco Espinoza Ramos and one brother, Gustavo Espinoza.
