Evaristo Directo

Evaristo J. Boy Directo passed away on January 1, 2008 in Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 71. He was born on October 10, 1936 in Ft. McKinley, Phillipines to Ignacio and Maxima Directo. He married Bonifacia Pimentel on December 27, 1962. He is survived by his wife of 45 years; daughters, Mar.Fe Gaspar and husband; Arnold of Las Pinas, Phillipines; Josephine Perez and husband; Raphael of New Jersey; Melita Mimi Martinez of Uvalde, Texas; Marilou Regino and husband; Joel of Manila, Phillipines; son, Mario Directo and wife Melissa of Virgina Beach, Virginia; 9 Grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 sisters. A rosary will be held on Friday, January 4, 2008 at 7:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Fr. Weislaw Iwaniec will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mario Directo, Raphael Perez, Antonio Martinez, Eddie Lara, Saturnino Tobias and Marlowe Bas.
