Eufemia L. Gutierrez

Eufemia L. Gutierrez, 93, of Sabinal, Texas passed away on November 17, 2025, at her residence.

She was born on September 3, 1932, San Ysidro, Mexico to Refugia (Rubio) and Genaro Leija.

She married Eulalio Gutierrez, Sr. on November 16, 1968.

She is survived by three daughters, San Juanita Gutierrez of Sabinal, Sylvia Strickland of Atlanta, Georgia and Veronica Fields of Lake in the Hill, Illinois; five sons, Lalo Gutierrez of San Antonio, Juan Gutierrez of Wichita Falls, Ricky Gutierrez, Oscar Gutierrez both of San Antonio, and Carlos Gutierrez and wife, Samantha of Malone; sister, Fermina Sosa and husband, Gilbert of Mesa, Arizona; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Josefina Cortez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal with a rosary at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 2 p.m. St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sabinal. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her children.
