Esther Trevino Soto

Esther Trevino Soto, 80, of Uvalde, passed away on June 19, 2026, at Community Care Center of Hondo.

She was born on April 15, 1946, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Maria Esther (Ortiz) and Solome A. Trevino.

She married Pedro Soto on December 3, 1959, in Piedras Negras, Mexico.

She is survived by her five granddaughters, Farrah Ybarra and husband, Jason of San Antonio, Crystal Gonzales of Uvalde, Selina Silguero and husband, Carlos Hernadez of Uvalde, Chelsea Soto of San Antonio, Claudia Soto of Uvalde, six grandsons, Joe Ray Soto, Mario Silguero Jr., Jacob Silguero and wife, Veronica, Eulalio Cruz and wife, Maria, Peter Paul Cruz all of Uvalde, and Peter Soto IV and wife, Jacklyn of San Antonio; 9 great granddaughters; and eight great grandsons.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters, Rebecca Silguero and Deborah Gonzales; son, Pedro Soto, III; granddaughter, Tiffany Soto; brother, Frank Cyprian; and sister, Beatrice Castro.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. on both days at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mario Silguero, Eulalio Cruz, Jose Gonzales, Carlos Hernandez, Peter Soto, IV , and Juan Polanco
