Esdula Gomez

Esdula G. Gomez of Uvalde passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at her residence at the age of 63.

Esdula was born on November 24, 1957 in Uvalde to Trine and Anita (Valverde) Castillo.

She is survived by daughter, Amanda Portillo of Uvalde; two sons, Mario A. Gutierrez Jr, and wife Chriselda of Uvalde and Juan I. Gomez and wife Laura Nelly of Uvalde; sister, Elma Negrete of Uvalde; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Esdula is preceded in death by her mother Anita Gonzales and father Trine Castillo, sister Elma Gonzales and brother Armando Gonzales.

Visitation for Esdula will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 starting at 12:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mario A. Gutierrez Jr., Juan I. Gomez, Robert Negrete Sr., Rick Ballesteros, Tito Moncada and Rudy Ortiz.  Honorary pallbearers are Joey Gomez Jr and David Saiz Jr.
