Emilio H. Lozano lived a life filled with love, laughter, and generosity, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. Emilio of Uvalde, Texas, went home to the Lord on November 26, 2025, with his family lovingly by his side. He was born on May 26, 1943, in Melchor Múzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico, to Luis and Virginia Lozano. He now joins his beloved wife of more than 40 years, Josefina F. Lozano; his parents, Luis and Virginia; his younger brother, Israel Lozano; and several cherished relatives in eternal rest.
As the eldest of eight children, Emilio learned early the value of responsibility and putting others first. His intelligence and ingenuity shaped his strong work ethic, guiding a life marked by dedication, integrity, and reliability. Known as “Windmill” during his truck-driving career, he completed more than 3 million accident-free miles—a remarkable achievement that reflected his skill, discipline, and unwavering commitment to doing things the right way. He led by example—with dignity, perseverance, compassion, and a playful humor that could light up any room.
Emilio cherished life’s simple joys: time spent with family, watching boxing and western movies, and listening to music while enjoying two of his favorite treats—conchas and Sunkist! These moments brought him true happiness.
He is survived by his children: Martin Lozano and family, Gloria Carrillo and family, Emilio Hernández Lozano Jr. and family, Gilberto Lozano and family, Silvia Lozano-Martinez and family, Sandra L. Juarez and family, and Rafael Lozano and family; and his siblings: Rosa Flores, María Luisa San Miguel, Antonio Lozano, Raúl Lozano, José Luis Lozano, and María Barrera; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In his 82 years, Emilio touched countless lives. He will be remembered for his humor, sharp mind, generous heart, and the lasting friendships he formed along the way. His memory will continue to bring comfort and strength to those who loved him.
May he rest in eternal peace, and may his love, dedication, and resilience continue to shine through the generations he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed.
