Elizabeth De La Garza

Elizabeth De La Garza, 65, of Uvalde, Texas passed away on October 2, 2024, at Amistad Nursing Home in Uvalde, Texas.

She was born on February 3, 1959, in Uvalde, Texas to Mary (Menchaca) and Henry R. Valdez. 

She is survived by two sons, Joey Valdez Lara and Manuel De La Garza, both of Uvalde; sister, Annette Valdez of Uvalde; two brothers, Henry Valdez, Jr. of San Antonio and Eloy Valdez of Uvalde; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oscar De La Garza; and daughter, Mary Jo Valdez Rodriguez. 

Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary .
