Elario Banda

Elario V. Banda of Sabinal passed away on March 27, 2023, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 85.

He was born on January 14, 1938, in Sabinal, Texas to Juanita (Vasquez) and Juan Banda.

He married Erlinda Cortez in Sabinal on January 5, 1959.

He is survived by his daughter, Adela Suttner and husband, Greg of Waukesha, Wisconsin; sister, Elida Banda of Sabinal, brother, Juan Francisco Banda of Sabinal; two grandchildren, Christopher Suttner and Tyler Suttner and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Monsace Banda son, Carlos Banda and daughter, Monica Banda.

A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sabinal.

Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
