Delfino Vasquez

Delfino Santiago Vasquez of Uvalde passed away on September 30, 2016 at his residence at the age of 92. He was born on December 24, 1923 in Uvalde, Texas to Santiago and Feliz (Vara) Vasquez. He married Viviana P. Trevino on September 15, 1957. He is survived by daughters, Ruby V. Garza and companion Armando T. Martinez, Esmeralda V. Santos and husband Ernesto Santos, Jr., sons, Robert T. Vasquez and wife, Julia, all of Uvalde, and Alfredo Almendarez of Carrizo Springs, Texas, daughter in-law, Maria T. Vasquez, sister Concepcion V. Garcia, both of Uvalde, 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his wife, Viviana T. Vasquez, son, Ruben T. Vasquez, sisters, Eulalia V. Lopez, Santos V. Rodriguez, brothers, Jesus Vasquez, Trinidad V. Vasquez, Modesto V. Vasquez, and Tivurcio V. Vasquez. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Vasquez, Jr., Alfred Garza, III, Alfredo V. Rodriguez, Santiago V. Rodriguez, Ernesto V. Garcia and Enrique V. Garcia, Jr.
