Uvalde
David C. Chapa, 66, of Uvalde, Texas passed away on July 26, 2025, at Methodist Texsan Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He was born on January 7, 1959, to Irene Canales and Gustavo R. Chapa.
He is survived by his sister, Marilou C. Ruiz of Uvalde; brother, Gustavo C. Chapa, Jr. of Uvalde; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jose C. Chapa.
Pallbearers will be Tristan Chapa, Jose M. Chapa, III, Jose R. Chapa, Jr., Daniel F. Chapa, Mario C. Ruiz, and Matthew J. Ruiz.
