Crissy Nicole Sweeten gained her angel wings the morning of August 5, 2019 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by loving friends and family during the last days of her life. Crissy was born in Uvalde Texas on February 26, 1978 to Johnny and Gloria Caballero. She grew up in Uvalde and was a proud country girl. She loved country music, boots and her family. Crissy attended school in Uvalde and graduated from the art institute of Dallas. On April 14, 2012 she married the man of her dreams, Curtis Sweeten and on November 18th, 2013 welcomed their miracle son John Rayland. She was a devoted mommy and he was the joy and most important part of her life.
Crissy is survived by her husband Curtis Sweeten, son John Rayland Sweeten, parents Johnny and Gloria Caballero, Sister Lisa Ayala, Brother in law Gene Ayala, Brother Johnny Caballero III, nephew Andrew Ayala, niece Sara Ayala and in-laws Eddie and Kilene Sweeten. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Crissy was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Irma Caballero and maternal grandparents, Ray and Belen Pineda.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Celebration of Crissy’s Life will be held Thursday, Aug 8th at 2pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary followed by graveside service at Hillcrest Cemetery.
