Brittany Briana Ramon

Brittany Briana Ramon, 25, of Uvalde, died on August 8, 2026, in Brackettville, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Sun. Aug. 16 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Mon. Aug. 17 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. A rosary will be recited on both days at 7p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Aug 18, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Brittany was born on January 20, 2001, in Uvalde, Texas, to Norma A. (Perez) Ramon and Ricardo B. Ramon.

Our beloved little girl gained her angel wings far too soon. Brittany was a beautiful soul with a kind and loving heart. She had a heart of gold, a beautiful personality, and a bright smile that could light up any room. Her warmth, kindness, and loving spirit touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Brittany was a proud 2019 graduate of Uvalde High School, where she ranked fifth in her graduating class. Among her many accomplishments, one that truly reflected her dedication, and determination was her perfect attendance from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. She carried that same commitment with her into college, attending Southwest Texas College, where she pursued the Radiologic Technology program.

Her dedication and accomplishments did not go unnoticed. Brittany was honored with an award from Governor Greg Abbott, recognizing her outstanding perfect attendance achievement. In addition, former Uvalde County Judge Bill Mitchell proclaimed May 24 as Brittany Ramon Day in Uvalde, a special honor celebrating her dedication and accomplishment.

She is survived by her parents of Uvalde; maternal grandparents, Leopoldo and Dora Perez of Uvalde; paternal grandmother, Maria de Jesus Salas all of Uvalde; sister, Jennifer Lizette Cervantes and husband, Hugo of Uvalde; brother, Ricardo Ramon Jr. and wife, Jewel Hernandez of Uvalde; and nieces and nephew, Billy De Hoyos, Jr., Adelyn Cervantes, and Milagros Cervantes.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfathers, Salvador Salas and Jesus Ramon; and maternal great grandmother, Pura Riojas.

Pallbearers will be Ricardo Ramon, Juan Guerrero, Ernest Ramon, Mark Ruiz, Ricardo Ramon, Jr., Billy De Hoyos, Jr., Hugo Cervantes, and Juan Guerrero, Jr.,

Honorary pallbearers will be Maribel Soliz and Jasmin Gonzalez.
