Ben Joe Yancy, Sr. of Albuquerque, NM, formerly of Uvalde, passed away on January 29, 2008 in Dryden, Texas at the age of 74. He was born in Uvalde, TX on August 31, 1933 to Ben and Bessie Yancy. He married Georgia Lee Schaefer in San Antonio, TX on May 12, 1967. He is survived by his wife of 40 years; five daughters, Yvonne, Dorothy, LeAnne, Michelle, and Karen; three sons, Bradley, Wayne, and Patrick; three sisters; one brother; 27 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Ben Yancy, Jr. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at 2:00 PM in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Paul Stephens will officiate.
