Armando Piña Valdez

Armando Piña Valdez, 90, of Uvalde passed away on March 13, 2024, at his residence.  

He was born on May 5, 1933, in Morelos, Coahuila, Mexico to Jenoveva (Valdez) and Manuel Piña.  

He married Enriqueta Gutierrez in Jalisco, Mexico.  

He is survived by his wife, Enriqueta Piña of Uvalde; four daughters, Manuela Genoveva Piña, Enriquetta Piña, Leonor Piña all of Uvalde, and Laura Enriquez and husband, Raul of Hereford; son, Armando Piña Gutierrez and wife, Maria Guadalupe of Uvalde; sister, Oralia Castro of Uvalde; Abel Piña of Morelos, Coahuila, Mexico; 13 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter; and two grandchildren, Nathaniel Garcia, and Vanessa Piña. 

Visitation will be held on Sat. March 16 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A graveside service will be held on Sat. March 16 at 3 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery.
