January 23, 1935 — April 4, 2016
April Byars of Uvalde passed away on April 4, 2016 at her residence at the age of 81. She was born on January 23, 1935 in San Antonio to William Rueben Herrington and Evelyn Lillian Fisher Herrington. She married Glen Edward Byars in Bandera on May 23, 1990. She is survived by her husband of 25 years; two daughters, Dawn Haller Jacobi of Uvalde and Kelly Haller Sweeten of Jacksboro, TX; son, Michael L. Haller of Whitewright, TX; step-daughter, Debra Jean Love of New Braunfels, TX; brother, W. Whit Herrington of Richmond, TX; and five grandchildren. A memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Cemetery. Cremation was under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
