Antonio Diaz Guerrero

Antonio Diaz Guerrero, 89, of Uvalde, Texas passed away on September 23, 2025, at Methodist Texsan Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

He was born on May 28, 1936, in Zaragoza, Mexico to Candelaria (Diaz) and Natividad Guerrero.

He married Petra Torres in Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico on March 21, 1955.

He is survived by four daughters, Candelaria Mendoza, Silvia De La Cruz both of Uvalde, Leticia Guerrero of Houston, and Norma Navarro and husband, Fernando of Venus; three sons, Antonio Guerrero Jr. of Uvalde, Baldemar Guerrero and wife, Sandra of Del Rio and Roy Guerrero and husband, Jose Jaramillo of Uvalde; two brothers, Manuel Guerrero and Silvero Guerrero and wife, Guadalupe all of Uvalde; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Petra Guerrero, son, German Guerrero; son in law, Sergio De La Cruz; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
