Antonio Diaz Guerrero

May 28, 1936 — September 23, 2025

Antonio Guerrero, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, 89, of Uvalde, Texas passed away on September 23, 2025, at Methodist Texsan Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

He was born on May 28, 1936, in Zaragoza, Mexico to Candelaria (Diaz) and Natividad Guerrero. He married Petra Torres in Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico on March 21, 1955.

Antonio lived a life filled with passion for the things he loved most—his family, his land, and his animals. He had a deep connection to ranching, horses, and caring for animals, and he found joy in the simple, hardworking life that ranching brings. He also enjoyed spending time at his salvage yard, where his lifelong love of cars and trucks shined through.

Family was at the center of everything Antonio did. He loved nothing more than being with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, sharing stories, laughter, and moments that will be treasured forever. His playful spirit came alive during trips to the casino with family, and he rarely missed a chance to cheer on his favorite team, the Houston Astros.

Antonio’s heart always belonged to his beloved wife, who welcomed him into eternal rest. Their love story continues now in heaven, a reunion that brings comfort to those who mourn his passing.

He will be remembered as a man of strength, humor, and devotion—a steady presence who gave so much of himself to his family and those around him. His memory will live on in every story told, every tradition carried forward, and every moment his family gathers together.

Antonio is survived by daughters; Candelaria Guerrero of Uvalde, Silvia De La Cruz of Seabrook,TX, Leticia Guerrero of Conroe, TX and Norma Navarro & husband Fernando of Venus,TX. Survived by sons; Antonio Guerrero Jr of Uvalde, Baldemar Guerrero & wife Sandra of Del Rio, TX and Roy Guerrero & husband Jose of San Antonio, TX.
