Antonio J. Gonzales

Antonio J. Gonzales, 62, of Uvalde, Texas passed away on August 16, 2026, at his residence.

He was born on June 11, 1964, in Uvalde, Texas to Francisca (Jaramillo) and Jose Luciano Gonzales.

He married Paula Bustamante on July 31, 2026, in Uvalde, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Gonzales of Uvalde; four daughters, Morima Gonzales, Stephanie Gonzales, Danika G. Velasquez and husband, O.Z. and Jazzel Ramirez and companion, Michael Mariscal all of Uvalde; son, Jose Daniel Gonzales and fiancé, Sabina Hernandez of Uvalde; sister, Marcela G. Cabralez and husband, Jaime of Uvalde; two brothers, Jacinto J. Gonzales and Rogelio J. Gonzales both of Uvalde; grandchildren, Madi Velasquez, Zak-Anthony Velasquez, Zerrik Velasquez, Zeke Velasquez, Gerardo Ramirez, Jasmine Ramirez, Joshua Ramirez, and Jeweliana Ramirez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7 pm.. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.  

Pallbearers will be Jose Daniel Gonzales, Zak-Anthony Velasquez, Jacinto J. Gonzales, Royce Joe Gonzales, Christian Gonzales, Andrew Gonzales, O.Z. Velasquez, Ricardo Sanchez, Eduardo Gonzales, and Juan Daniel Mirelez. 

Honorary pallbearers will be James Hidalgo, Pete V. Ybarra, Jr., Leo Aviles, Jr., Rogelio J. Gonzales, and Arron Gonzales,
