Alma Cuellar Reyes

Alma Cuellar Reyes, 77, of Uvalde passed away on January 4, 2026, at Amistad Nursing Home in Uvalde.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at  7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

She was born on October 23, 1948, in San Diego, Texas to Evangelina (Cuellar) and Jose Reyes.

She is survived by four sisters, Eloisa Rodriguez, Rebecca Flores both of Uvalde, Antonia Peña of Spofford, and Sylvia Ramirez of Uvalde; three brothers, Ruben Reyes, Sr., Daniel Reyes both of Uvalde, and Raymundo Reyes of Del Rio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jose Reyes, Arturo Reyes and Domingo Reyes; and sisters, Melba Castillo.
