Alinda graduated from Sanderson high school . When a senior she met her future husband, Jim Turner. Two years after graduating, Alinda and Jim were married on Jan. 30th 1952, and they made their home in Sanderson until 1972, when Jim joined the Border Patrol and they were stationed in Laredo, Texas until 1988 when they transferred to Uvalde. Alinda was baptized at a young age at the First Baptist Church in Pumpville, Texas. In the following years she served in three other churches, First Baptist in Sanderson, First Baptist in Laredo and Baptist Temple in Uvalde. In all three she served any where she was needed and sang in the last three church choirs. Alinda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother always doing for others. Alinda did a lot of knitting and baking and shared the fruit of her labor with anyone.
