Alicia Perez Rocha

Dr. Alicia Perez Rocha PhD, formerly of Uvalde, Tx, passed away July 08, 2023 at the Hospice House in Burlington, IA at the age of 75.

She was born in Uvalde, Tx to Filomena (Morales) and Juan Weaver Perez.

Alicia married Sostenes Rocha Jr, in Uvalde, Tx June 20,1971.

She is survived by her husband, Sostenes Rocha Jr. of 52 years; son Sostenes (Toby) Rocha III and wife Bonnie Gonzales Rocha of St. Peters MO; son, Juan Alberto Rocha of Burlington, IA; sister, Natividad Perez of Uvalde TX; brother, Juan Ignacio Perez Jr. and wife, Ernestina Perez of Uvalde Tx; brother, Francisco Perez and wife, Lydia Perez of Uvalde, Tx; grandchildren, Desiree Lynn Rocha, Felicity Nicole Rocha, Tila Lacy Rocha, Juan Alexander Rocha, Elija Rice, Daylyn Rice and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Juan Javier Rocha; brother, Refugio Perez, and, sister Anita Garza.

Pallbearers will be Sostenes Rocha III, Francisco Guevara Jr., Ricky Perez, Juan Perez III, Alfred Garza Jr., and Jon Wesley Rendon Perez.

Visitation will begin Monday July 24, 2023, at 2 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. 

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
