Abel Licea Jr.

Abel B. Licea Jr. of Uvalde passed away on April 23, 2019 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 52.  He was born on February 14, 1967 in Bakersfield, California to Abel R. and Maria Luisa Balderas Licea.

Abel worked as a detention officer for The GEO Group Inc. South Texas ICE Processing Center in Pearsall, TX. He was dedicated to his two daughters and loved his daily unsweet tea from Golden Chick.

He is survived by his daughters, Samantha Nikcol Licea of Uvalde, TX, Adrianna Marie Licea (Jorge) Mejia, and granddaughter Faith Lilianna Mejia of Del Rio, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will begin on Friday April 26, 2019 at 2:00-9:00 p.m., Saturday April 27, 2019 at 8:00 a.m-9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Uvalde, TX.
