Crystal Fay Fernandez of San Antonio, formerly of Uvalde passed away on November 15, 2018 in San Antonio at the age of 39. She was born on September 28, 1979 in Hidalgo County to Herbert Willis Mason, Jr. and Estrella Foley.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Fernandez of San Antonio; daughter, Fay Fernandez of San Antonio; son, Michael Fernandez, Jr. of San Antonio; father, Herbert Willis Mason, Jr. of Uvalde; mother Estrella Ramon and husband Jesus, Jr. of Houston; sister, Nicole Beth Mason Rienstra and husband, Eric of Pompton Lakes, New Jersey; maternal grandmother, Barbara Foley of Copperas Cove, Texas; niece, Alexandria Rienstra of Pompton Lakes, New Jersey; nephews, Christopher Rienstra, and Tyce Rienstra of Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, Matthew Fernandez, of Uvalde; aunts, Linda Jordan and husband, David and Debbie Hicks and husband, Randy all of Uvalde; uncles, James Mason and wife, Karen of Victoria, Dale Mason and wife, Donna of McAllen, Kenny Mason and wife Christiane Courts of San Antonio, Michael Mason and wife, Sandy of Crestview, Florida; father in law, Carlos Fernandez, Sr. of Uvalde; brother in law, Carlos Fernandez, Jr and wife, Maria of Uvalde and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Herbert Willis and Faye Yvonne Mason, Oliver and Winnie Everett; maternal grandfather, James Kernell Foley; and mother in law, Anna Lara Fernandez
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
