Bertha Sánchez of Uvalde passed away on February 9, 2018 in Uvalde at the age of 95. She was born on October 23, 1922 in Long Beach, California to Roberto and Francisca (Dorado) Rodríguez.
She is survived by her daughters, Luz María Cruz and husband, Agustín of Clute, Elizabeth Rueda and husband, Angel of El Paso and Francisca Pargas and husband, Mariano of Uvalde; sons, Roberto Raúl Sánchez and wife, Adelina of Casa Grande, Arizona and Andrés Sánchez and wife, Rosselle of Lake Jackson; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great- great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raúl Sánchez; two brothers, Antonio Rodríguez and Martín Rodríguez and four sisters, María de Jesús Salazar, Juana García, Enriqueta Azpeitia, and María Barton.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricardo Sánchez, Raúl Cruz, Nicolas Sánchez, Mariano Pargas, III, Adam Felán, and Emmanuel Gonzalez
