Antonio R. Hinojosa of Uvalde passed on July 2, 2017 at his residence at the age of 85. Mr. Hinojosa was born December 1, 1931 to Josefa (Rosales) and Isaac Hinojosa. He married Pura Hill October 16, 1952 in Uvalde.
He was ordained as a deacon on April 1, 1979 and was a member of the Cursillistas, and Holy Name Society. He was also an Army veteran and retired from the Coca Cola Company.
Mr. Hinojosa is survived by his three sons, Rito Antonio Hinojosa and wife Cynthia of Waterford, Michigan; Jose Luis Hinojosa and Richard Hinojosa both of Uvalde; sister, Olivia Hinojosa of Uvalde; 20 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren.
Mr. Hinojosa is preceded in death by his parents; wife; sons, Rodolfo Alberto Hinojosa and Alfredo Hinojosa; sister, Lydia Reyes and brothers, Robert Hinojosa and Fortunato Hinojosa.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, July 7, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial at a later date.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Hinojosa Jr., Rudy Hinojosa, Robbie Hinojosa, Stephanie Hinojosa, Dakota Hinojosa and Isaac Hinojosa.
