Sorry for his passing. He gave so many Mexicans a chance to work and payed them accordingly especially in Batesville. I hope that the rest of the heirs that have used the land in the surrounding areas that was robbed from Briscoe in his later days will be used to further employ more people in the surrounding areas

Our love and sympathy is extended to all of the Carnes Family. May the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, be in your hearts and minds during these difficult times.
I grew up as a close friend to Jimmy and have known Ray my entire life. What a NICE, NICE man He was always kind and thoughtful and gentle. Even when I was a young kid, Ray always treated me with respect. And, as a result, I grew up with the utmost respect for Ray. He was one of those adults that I looked up to and admired.... I know that there is natural progression in life and there is a time and a season for everything and for everyone...But, I feel like I lose something of myself when people like Ray pass away. He was a part of my life... He was one of those people that was a part of the foundation of my young life... and now hes gone. We will miss him. .... The next line in Phillipians 4:8 is also appropriate... And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right and pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you..... May the God of Peace be with the Carnes Family.

I am his beautiful step daughters Mary Ashley Griffins best friend and I never had the pleasure of meeting him person. But I have had opportunity to talk w him on the phone. I have heard that he was the best father in the world. Mary Ashley loved him so very much and he absolutely loved and adored her. She was his princess and apple of his eye. She will miss him greatly but will see him in heaven where they will celebrate with Jesus. He was the epitome of what a Christian should be. My prayers are with everyone.
